An open letter to the 2016 Republican presidential candidates.

Dear GOP hopefuls,

We the people want a leader to emerge from this primary process who will go to Washington D.C. and restore this great constitutional republic.

We need a conservative leader who will turn the institution upside down and make the United States a great nation once again.

Who, among you, will uphold and follow the U.S. Constitution?

Which candidate will rebuild our military and take care of our veterans after they have bravely defended our nation?

Which candidate will defend religious liberty?

Who will protect the unborn?

Who will vigorously defend 2nd Amendment rights?

Which man or woman will secure our borders by building a wall, enforcing our current immigration laws, and will oppose amnesty every step of the way?

Who will get rid of Obamacare and offer real solutions to provide the best health care in the world to every American?

Who will empower the states and the local school districts to make the decisions to best provide the tools and resources for our children’s education and get rid of federal government mandates like CommonCore?

Who will tear up every executive order issued by President Obama on Day 1?

Who will cut taxes for individuals and businesses, small and large, and unleash our free market economy which will bring prosperity to all Americans?

Who will cut spending and begin the process of eliminating our $18 trillion debt?

Which conservative candidate on stage will lead the greatest country on earth to defeat radical Islamic terrorists, both at home and abroad?

We and millions of grassroots conservatives will stand with one of you who says unequivocally “I will!!” to these questions.

Good luck.

Sincerely,

Conservative First

And so it begins.

After seven long, disastrous, unconstitutional years, voters of Iowa will head to caucuses tonight, and primary voting precincts across the 49 states of the union over the next four months, to nominate the next commander-in-chief, God-willing.

A win tonight in Iowa is historically no guarantee of winning the nomination. Rick Santorum (2012) and Mike Huckabee (2008) won the Iowa caucuses but ultimately failed to become the Republican nominee, while Ronald Reagan narrowly lost Iowa in 1980 to his eventual vice president, George H.W. Bush, then went on to win the New Hampshire primary and ultimately secure the nomination. We know how that general election all turned out: landslide.

In the 2016 presidential election cycle, a win in Iowa has the potential to give Senator Ted Cruz momentum heading into South Carolina and Super Tuesday on March 1st, while a win for businessman Donald Trump in the Hawkeye State could make him unstoppable.

Keep in mind, no GOP candidate has ever become the nominee without winning at least Iowa or New Hampshire. Mr. Trump has a commanding lead in the Granite State as well as in South Carolina according to most polls.

But as we have learned in the past year, this is not a typical election.

Expect the unexpected.
