A word about the race to replace Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell:
The American people voted on Tuesday for a vast transformation of our government. President-elect Donald J. Donald J. Trump won in a modern day landslide and has a clear mandate to implement a conservative, American First agenda to fix our broken institutions. The U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives should work on day one with him, no exceptions. We need strong conservative leadership in both chambers to make that happen.
Senator John Thune, a Mitch McConnell acolyte, is running for Senate Majority Leader and urged President Trump to stay out of the race and not “place his thumb on the scale.” Sorry Senator Thune, but the American people do not want a puppet of McConnell who will still serve in the Senate, just not in a leadership role.
We endorse Senator Rick Scott of Florida to be the Majority Leader. Senator Scott won his re-election on Tuesday in a massive landslide. He is the type of leader we need to execute the agenda the people overwhelming voted for. Shutting down the open border, lowering gas and food prices, growing our economy, and lifting wages for all Americans are a just a few of the many issues on the to-do checklist for January 20, 2025. Sen. Scott will work with a Trump Administration while Senators Thune and John Cornyn, also running for the top senate position, are just McConnell puppets who will worry more about what the media think of them than getting things done.
Tuesday’s landslide victory is evidence of a major course correction in the direction of our republic.
Time to get to work!
