Say no to Larry.
That’s Former Maryland Governor Larry Hogan who is running for the U.S. Senate as a…uhh…ummm…Republican.
A recent Wall Street Journal op-ed discussed Mr. Hogan’s senate race and how he could flip a blue state senate seat to a red one due to his popularity.
However, a deep-dive into the op-ed highlights why he should not enter the Senate. He will work with Chuck Schumer, sabotage the MAGA-America First agenda, and wants abortion up to 26 weeks. Also, he said he will not commit to voting for the GOP majority leader, leaving the door open that he might vote for Sen. Schumer should the Republicans not win back the majority.
We have never liked the guy. He said last week that Americans should accept the verdict in President Trump’s hush-money trial. He is the type of “Republican” that Conservative First has been railing against since our inception. We have enough RINOs in Congress. We don’t need another one even if he could possibly help the GOP win back the majority.
And finally, should Larry Hogan win the Maryland U.S. Senate seat, we predict that there will be a 50/50 chance, or greater, he switches his party affiliation to either Independent, or even as a Democrat.
At least that label would fit his ideology.
