Highlights of the Week

 Sarah Palin:

*temp*She was right about the Obamacare “death panels” when everyone in the media and in the establishment laughed at her. But even Hollerin’ Howard Dean agreed with her.

Now, Sarah Palin is once again speaking out and putting the GOP in the political crosshairs by warning them that they will face “America’s wrath” if they fail to block President Obama’s amnesty push. She is right once again.

Apparently the GOP has forgotten about an election that took place just five weeks ago. If the American electorate wanted more of the same from this government, they would not have swept the GOP to the majority in the Senate with nine victories and an additional net gain of 13 seats in the House.

The GOP will feel the wrath of the voter if they continue to listen to the crony capitalists, the Chamber of Commerce, Karl Rove, and other establishment wealthy donors who want amnesty instead of the grassroots conservative movement who made their majorities in Congress possible.

Again, Ms. Palin proves to be a worthy member on our leaders page.

Michele Bachmann:

Congresswoman Bachmann is retiring after serving four terms and gave her final speech on the House floor Tuesday.

Perhaps no current member of Congress has been more despised by both political parties and the media than her. Speaker of the House John Boehner and other congressional leaders scolded her for daring to speak out against the Muslim Brotherhood’s influence on the White House.

It was a well known secret that the establishment wanted her to lose every election she ran in order to silence her voice in Congress.

Never one to be afraid to speak her mind, we salute Ms. Bachmann for her service, her courage, and her boldness. She will be sorely missed.

Jose Rodriguez:

Jose Rodriguez CIAFormer Central Intelligence Agency officer Jose Rodriguez completes our list of highlights for this week.

He blasted the recent Senate CIA Interrogation report released this week by saying the CIA is being “thrown under the bus” by ultraliberal Senator Dianne Feinstein and the others hellbent on tearing down our efforts to help keep this country safe.

On 60 Minutes in 2012, Mr. Rodriguez shocked correspondent Lesly Stahl when he revealed that the United States used “enhanced interrogation techniques” to get intelligence information from Khalid Sheik Mohammed and other top al Qaeda terrorists. One of those techniques was waterboarding which led to the whereabouts of Osama bin Laden.

Mr. Rodriguez has no regrets.

We commend him for his service to our country and facing off against his critics who worry more about the feelings of those trying to harm our country than defending the homeland.

Lowlights of the Week

GOP Leadership:

white flag gop

The GOP leadership will probably have a permanent place in our list of weekly lowlights.

Late Thursday night, the House of Representatives passed the $1.1 trillion omnibus bill to fund the government until next September. Rather than passing a continuing resolution bill which would fund the government for a few weeks to allow the newly-elected members of Congress have a say in how our taxpayer dollars are spent, they gave President Obama what he wanted.

What a joke!

This is the same omnibus bill that fully funds Obama’s illegal amnesty order as well as Obamacare.

With the lame duck Senate still controlled by Senator Harry Reid, this bill will clear the Senate and become law.

Conservative First is taking names and targeting those who are part of the problem and will do whatever we can to defeat them.

Sony Pictures Executives:

Sony Pictures“What happens when you point your finger at someone? There are three fingers pointing right back at you!”

This adage is so true.

After Sony Pictures was hacked this past year and emails from the top executives and producers became public, it was revealed that they were making insensitive remarks towards President Obama and the color of his skin.

Now, because they are liberals and Democratic donors, they are excused. Sony President Amy Pascal apologized on Thursday saying “the content of my emails were insensitive and inappropriate but are not an accurate reflection of who I am.”

Imagine for a moment if the culprits were conservatives or had donated to the Republican Party. The outrage (rightfully so) would be nonstop and they would have to resign.

But liberals? Nah, just apologize and the media will help sweep the controversy under the rug.

The next time a liberal accuses someone of racism, it is a good bet that the person they are actually accusing is the person staring back at them in the mirror.

Mitt Romney:

 Mitt RomneyMitt Romney, 2016??

Can we put this issue to bed once and for all? As long as Mitt Romney is breathing, apparently not.

Mr. Romney doesn’t care for the potential 2016 Republican candidates who are considering a presidential run so he feels compelled to throw his hat into the ring for the third time. Three times a charm, eh?

We can’t emphasize enough how we appreciated Mitt’s commitment to our country in 2012 for wanting a better America but his time has long passed.

We can name at least a dozen potential candidates who would be more appealing and better committed to conservative principles and the Constitution than a candidate who it was later revealed by his son that he never really wanted to be president.

Remember, despite beating President Obama with independent voters by a wide margin, 3 million Republicans who voted for Senator John McCain in 2008 stayed home in 2012.

We know it is asking for too much for the establishment media to stop bringing up “Mitt” and “2016” in the same sentence, but it would be greatly appreciated.

It is a waste of ink.
